Club Brugge is preparing for a busy summer transfer window. Even the players who rarely or never play are facing potential transfers.

Scott Parker had a short stint as a coach at Club Brugge. After just a few months, he had to leave again. During that brief period, the team brought in goalkeeper Joe Bursik based on his advice. Joe Bursik joined Club Brugge on January 14, 2023. He signed a contract until mid-2024 but has not played a single minute for the team yet.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper was trained by Stoke City and played 53 games there. After several loan spells, he was sold to Club Brugge. Bursik struggled and also suffered a serious injury. According to Inside Futbol, a loan move is now on the cards. Bursik is on the wishlist of Scottish club Hibernian.

At Club Brugge, Bursik has become almost surplus to requirements. Especially with Simon Mignolet as the first-choice goalkeeper, and Nordin Jackers also ahead of him in the pecking order. Bursik is open to leaving to revive his career.

Hibernian did not finish in the top six of the standings last season and wants to compete for titles again in Scotland with some new additions.

It seems like Joe Bursik’s time at Club Brugge may be coming to an end, as he looks for opportunities to continue his career elsewhere. The goalkeeper’s potential loan move to Hibernian could provide him with the chance to showcase his abilities and reignite his career on the field. It will be interesting to see how this transfer saga unfolds and what the future holds for Bursik as he aims to make a fresh start in Scottish football.
