It was not so, that Urs Fischer had the holiday urgent need of energy, it lacked also the end of 2018. But the old year at home with his family in Zurich in the end, he enjoyed then thoroughly.
Since Sunday, the 52-Year-old back in Berlin, back to his place of work in Köpenick in the East of the city: fisherman’s since last summer, coach of Union Berlin – FC Zurich, Thun and Basel, it is his first Station abroad. the Exact same thing. My way of thinking, my values, my behavior, my interaction with people – it is everything like before, and that is a good thing. I believe, however, that helped me in my Berlin experience, I was in Basel.
to what Extent?
the Union is my first club abroad. When I came to Berlin, everything was new for me: the League, the Team, the leadership, and the environment. If I go in Switzerland from Zurich to Thun or to switch from Thun to Basel, I know the conditions, all players, any opponent. It was helpful that I was able to fill my backpack in Basel at a large Swiss Club is good, also with experiences in the Champions League. I don’t scare so fast and can classify a lot of situations better.
What have you learned in the six months in Berlin?

I had to invest a lot of energy, in order to obtain quickly a complete image of the Club and of the League. But the Fun has never suffered. Otherwise this would have any impact on the quality of the work. And the could not say yet.
