Fotballforbundene in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the faroe islands have agreed on a pilot project regarding a potential application for the world cup about eight years.
– We have a good nordic cooperation including working for better conditions for women’s football internationally, and when it was a natural choice for us to set in motion a process to get to arrange the football world cup for women. The nordic countries have a leading position in the field of women’s football, and I hope that we can reach with our application when the time comes, ” says fotballpresident Terje Svendsen to football.no.
the Pilot project has been given the name “Vision 2027”. In the first phase it will be determined which cities and stadiums that may be relevant for the eventual application.
