Fotballforbundene in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the faroe islands have agreed on a pilot project regarding a potential application for the world cup about eight years.
– We have a good nordic cooperation including working for better conditions for women’s football internationally, and when it was a natural choice for us to set in motion a process to get to arrange the football world cup for women. The nordic countries have a leading position in the field of women’s football, and I hope that we can reach with our application when the time comes, ” says fotballpresident Terje Svendsen to football.no.
