Tennis Alison Van Uytvanck (WTA 52) has at the expense of Kirsten Flipkens (WTA 55) placed for the second round of the WTA-tournament in the Russian St. Petersburg (hard/823.000 dollar). Van Uytvanck pulled in two sets on the longest end: 6-2, 6-4 after 1 hour and 20 minutes.

From Uytvanck and Flipkens, who are playing the doubles in St. Petersburg, were for the fourth time opposite each other on the WTA circuit. It is now 2-2.
