Violent protests ahead of elections in Bangladesh
A hundred people have been injured since political rallies are getting out of hand in a handful of cities in Bangladesh. A campaign is underway in the country, which holds a general election on december 30. According to the police, it involves clashes between supporters of the two topple parties in the election.
The past few weeks, the bangladeshi police detained several hundred supporters of the main opposition party, the nationalist party BNP.
the Opposition argues that violence comes from people and thugs in collusion with the ruling party Awamiförbundet, led by prime minister Sheikh Hasina, who is now a candidate for a fourth term in power.
