Having undergone knee surgery a few weeks ago following his serious injury and missing until the end of the season, Neymar had to follow the defeat of “his” Brazil against Argentina (1-0), as part of the qualifications for the 2026 World Cup, from his television. The former PSG star, often at the heart of brawls on the pitch due to his provocative play, joked about the extremely tense context of this “Superclasico” on his social networks.
“I would have gotten beat up in that match, but that would have caused chaos… It would have been a hell of a disaster. It’s crazy !”. The Al-Hilal striker also implied that he would have attempted dribbles of which only he has the secret in order to further tension the match. “It’s Brazil-Argentina. Sow confusion, we’re playing house! Let’s go, let’s go! Someone has to do something just to heat things up.”
Facing the Argentinian world champions, Brazil suffered a third defeat in a row and ranks sixth in the South America zone of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
