One Frenchman chases the other… The duel between the Swiss Marco Odermatt and the French Cyprien Sarrazin had eclipsed all the other candidates for the Super G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. And a Frenchman pushed the headliners into the shadows. Nils Allègre (30 years old) climbed onto his very first World Cup podium with a victory, having passed through the fog and resisted the mildness of the German resort. Nils Allègre who beat the Italian Guglielmo Bosca at 0”18 and the Swiss Loic Meillard at 0”25 and Marco Odermatt at 0”28 (Cyprien Sarrazin had to settle for 10th place at 0”64) .

Nils Allègre (six times in the Top 10 in the World Cup this season) is the 5th Frenchman to win a Super G in the World Cup. The skier from Briançon succeeds Luc Alphand, Franck Piccard, Alexis Pinturault and Cyprien Sarrazin. The revengers will meet this Sunday for the second Super G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
