Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce ran in 10 sec 82 (0.3 m/s wind), a very fast time for her first 100m of the season on Thursday in Lucerne (Switzerland).
Double Olympic champion (2008 and 2012) and five-time world champion in the straight line (2009, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2022), Fraser-Pryce (36) largely won the race and reassured about her state of form.
Slowed down by injuries, the Jamaican did not resume until early July, competing in two 200m races during the Jamaican trials. As defending champion, she is automatically qualified for the 100m at the Budapest World Championships (August 19-27) where she will be eagerly awaited.
