Germany and Serbia in turn won their direct qualification for the basketball tournament of the Paris-2024 Olympic Games, after the quarter-finals of the World Cup which ended on Wednesday.
Qualified for the semi-finals, which they will play on Friday, respectively against the United States and Canada, they secure the two tickets granted to the best ranked European countries in this World Cup.
The Germans and Serbs join among the direct qualifiers for Paris France (organizing country), Japan (best Asian country in the World Cup), Australia (Oceania), South Sudan (Africa) and the United States and the Canada (Americas).
The last four places of the Olympic tournament will be awarded during qualifying tournaments. Spain, Argentina, Slovenia or even Greece and Lithuania will be concerned.
