Young French striker Mathys Tel has extended his contract at Bayern Munich until 2029, the German club announced in a press release on Wednesday. The 18-year-old Frenchman’s contract, initially set until the summer of 2027, now runs until the summer of 2029.

Club leaders said they were “delighted” that Mathys Tel, player of the “next generation of the club” had extended his contract with Bayern. The young player, who arrived in Munich in July 2022 at the age of 17, says he is ready to “give everything for this club and its supporters”, which he already considers as a home for him and his family.
