In numerical superiority after the exclusion of Kevin Volland in the 64th minute, the men of Marco Rose took shelter in the last minutes thanks to a double from Benjamin Sesko realized in the space of two minutes (85th and 87th ).

Leipzig thus joins the long list of six teams in 3rd place in the Bundesliga with six points and two victories, behind the leading duo composed of Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, alone with a clear course of three victories in the evening of the third day.
