Three days before facing Bayer Leverkusen for the clash of the 21st day of the German championship, Bayern recorded the returns to training of Dayot Upamecano and Joshua Kimmich, the Bavarian club announced on Wednesday.

Upamecano and Kimmich were injured on January 24 during the late Bundesliga match in Munich between Bayern and Union Berlin (Munich victory 1-0), to the back of the left thigh for the French central defender and to the left shoulder for the German midfielder.

The two internationals returned to training, while goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer was missing for the second consecutive day, due to “slight problems” with a knee, Bayern explained.

Second in the Bundesliga with two points behind Leverkusen, undefeated leader this season, in 30 matches in all competitions, the Munich players travel to the “Werkself” pitch on Saturday (6:30 p.m.), for one of the turning points of the season.
