A PSV Eindhoven supporter was seriously injured during clashes on the sidelines of the Champions League round of 16 second leg in Dortmund on Wednesday evening, German police told the German press agency SID, an AFP subsidiary.

A 35-year-old Dutchman was seriously injured and police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, police told SID.

According to the German daily Bild, two groups of supporters clashed around 7:50 p.m. on the way to the Dortmund stadium, where PSV Eindhoven faced Borussia in the round of 16 second leg.
