Two late goals from Lazio captain Ciro Immobile gave the Italian club a 2-0 home win over Champions League Group E bottom Celtic on Tuesday. A victory which places the Romans in an ideal position to reach the round of 16 before the last day of the group stage.
Immobile, a second-half substitute, opened the scoring for Lazio Rome in the 82nd minute with a close-range shot after a deflected shot from Isaksen before doubling the lead three minutes later with a low strike.
Lazio are provisionally placed at the top of the group with 10 points from five games and will seal their place in the last 16 if third-placed Feyenoord lose at home to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening. Celtic, with one point, needed a win to stay in the race for the top two.
