Without any real surprise, PSG qualified for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. Orléans (National, third division), courageous but timid at the same time, failed to create the feat. The capital club won 1-4 thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé (15th, 62nd), Gonçalo Ramos (72nd) and young Senny Mayulu (88th). Nicolas Saint-Ruf had reduced the score on the Orléans side (86th).

It was cold this evening at Stade la Source. A negative temperature, -2° precisely at kick-off. Obviously, the 22 actors had to get into shape. The Parisians had control of the ball, without being very dangerous. It was the Orléanais who caused the first heatwave through Loïc Goujon, author of a lob attempt of more than 35 meters (10th). Despite everything and as often, the real flame came from the foot of Kylian Mbappé. The number 7 opened the scoring after a great control and strike sequence (15th, 0-1). A real blow to the heads of the people of Orléans. The Parisians subsequently controlled the ball. Luis Enrique decided to align a fairly unique composition with Carlos Soler on the right side, but also and above all Randal Kolo Muani on the left lane, Gonçalo Ramos in 10 and Kylian Mbappé at the forefront of the attack. An offensive sector which lacked automatism. The Orléans players raised their heads at the end of the first period, without however coming back to score.

Upon returning from the locker room, possession of the ball had not changed sides. Led, Orléans retained its defensive tactics. But as could be expected, it was difficult to contain the Parisian offensives. After a great collective movement, the PSG players obtained a penalty after an unfortunate handball. The inevitable “KM7” took charge of the break goal (63rd, 0-2). The people of Orléan subsequently tried to react, which was, in a sense, fatal for them. With more space at their backs, the locals exposed themselves to the Mbappé rocket. Launched from deep, the captain of the France team perfectly served Gonçalo Ramos for the 0-3 goal (72nd). If PSG had a great evening, Senny Mayulu must have been over the moon. For his first professional match, the 17-year-old scored his first professional goal (88th). The only downside came from the opposing captain. Nicolas Saint-Ruf reduced the score with a beautiful header from a corner, the weak point of the Parisians (86th).

Even if the adversity was not of the highest level, the Orléans players showed great character at times. PSG can now focus on the round of 16, with the aim of winning their fifteenth Coupe de France.
