The Belgian Arnaud De Lie (Lotto-Dstiny) won the Franco-Belgian cycling circuit by winning in the sprint ahead of the Norwegian Rasmus Tiller and the New Zealander Corbin Strong, Thursday in Mont-de-l’Enclus in Belgium. The sprinter of the Lotto-Dstiny team, fourth in the European Championships on Sunday, justified his status as favorite of the event to sign his ninth success this season. The eighteenth of his career at only 21 years old.
First Frenchman, the Northerner Florian Sénéchal took 5th place. De Lie, who was part of a group of fourteen attackers when starting the final ascent of Mont-de-l’Enclus (1.2 km at 6% average), launched his sprint 200 meters from the line: “The team controlled the race perfectly. It’s always a pleasure to crown this work with a victory,” commented the Bull of Lescheret.
