The young Frenchman Paul Magnier won his second professional success on Monday at the age of 19 by winning the third stage of the Tour of Oman cycling, in a sprint ahead of the American Luke Lamperti, who took the leader’s jersey.

Youth took power during this slight hill finish judged at Al Bustan, since Lamperti, Magnier’s teammate at the Soudal Quick-Step, is 21 years old. Another French sprinter, Bryan Coquard, took third place. Lamperti takes the red leader’s jersey thanks to the bonuses, at the same time as the 22-year-old former New Zealand leader, Finn Fisher-Black.
