The German Kim Heiduk (Ineos) and the Dutchman Daan Hoole (Lidl Trek) were, this Tuesday, victims of a spectacular fall during the Belgian race Danilith Nokere Koerse won by the Belgian Tim Merlier (Soudal-Quick Step) ahead Fabio Jakobsen (DSM) and Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck). A right turn taken at slow speed and the two riders, after a slip by the German, plunged into a ditch.

Merlier signed a third consecutive victory in the event.

Frenchman Hugo Hofstetter (Israel Premier Tech) took 9th place. Heiduk and Hoole were forced to retire.
