French divers Jules Bouyer and Gwendal Bisch won their ticket to the Paris Olympic Games thanks to their qualification for the final of the event 3 months from the Doha Worlds on Wednesday.
In the final, Jules Bouyer took sixth place with a cumulative score of 439.50 points after six jumps, while Gwendal Bisch finished eleventh with 380.80 pts.
“I’m super proud! In addition I am qualified with Gwendal Bisch who is one of my best friends. We prepared together and qualified together. It’s magical!”, appreciated Jules Bouyer, 21 years old, author of a great rise in power over the last few seasons.
“It’s nice, we’ve been training for the Olympic qualification for a long time and we achieved it,” added Bisch, 25 years old.
The competition was won by the Chinese Wang Zangyan, unattainable with 538.70 points.
Jules Bouyer is also already qualified for the 2024 Olympics in the 3m synchronized event alongside Alexis Jandard. Together, Bouyer and Jandard won the bronze medal last year at the Fukuoka Worlds.
