Chinese Chang Yani and Chen Yiwen were crowned world champions in synchronized diving at 3m, and Chinese Lian Junjie and Yang Hao won gold in 10m on Monday in Fukuoka (Japan).
At the end of the fourth day of competition, China won the first seven titles distributed in diving in these Worlds-2023. Last year in Budapest, Chinese divers won all the gold medals.
With a score of 341.64 points after their dives, the 21- and 24-year-old Chinese respectively beat the Britons Scarlett Mew Jensen and Yasmin Harper (296.58 pts) and the Italians Chiara Pellacani and Elena Bertocchi (285 .99 pts).
Lian and Yang, aged 22 and 25 respectively, finished first with a score of 477.75 points ahead of Ukrainians Oleksii Sereda and Kirill Boliukh (439.32 pts) and Mexicans Kevin Berlin Reyes and Randal Willars Valdez (434. 16 points).
