Out injured during Spain’s walk in Georgia (7-1), Marco Asensio forfeits the “Roja” match scheduled for Tuesday against Cyprus, as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The Spanish football federation announced the news this Saturday via a press release. RB Leipzig’s Spanish international Dani Olmo is also concerned: “Their presence against Cyprus is not an option after medical examinations”. Villarreal player Yeremy Pino and FC Barcelona striker Ferran Torres are called in to replace them.

Marco Asensio’s injury is not good news for PSG. The capital club hosts OGC Nice on September 15 before continuing, still at the Parc des Princes, with the first Champions League group match against Borussia Dortmund.
