The France team will be in the group of Croatia, Bosnia and Cyprus during the qualifications for Euro basketball 2025, according to the draw made on Tuesday.

In this group E, the first two selections will win their ticket for the continental competition, the Cypriots being already assured of their participation as host country. They will co-organize the Euro with Finland, Poland and Latvia, from August 27 to September 14, 2025.

The Blues were surprised by Bosnia, beaten in Sarajevo (96-90) in August 2022, during the qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup which begins in less than two weeks. They then raised the bar in November, sweeping the Bosnians 92-56. The Croats, 25th nation in the Fiba ranking, will also stand in the way of the French. The qualifiers will take place from February 19, 2024 to February 25, 2025, during three Fiba windows.
