Direction Qatar for Leonardo Jardim. The Portuguese coach has signed up for two seasons with Al-Rayyan, 9th (out of 12) in his championship last season. Jardim, 48, knows the continent well: he managed Saudi club Al-Hilal between June 2021 and February 2022, and is coming off a season at Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai, where he was UAE champion .
Jardim had been champion of France with AS Monaco during the 2016-17 season, while reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League. He was sacked in October 2018, before being rehired three months later and then dismissed again in December 2019.
