Paulo Fonseca, Lille manager, after the home victory in the first leg of the Europa League Conference accession play-off against Rijeka (2-1) on Thursday:
“We dominated the whole match, against a team that defended very low. But I think in the end, Lucas (Chevalier) guaranteed the win. We played against a good team, with quality. But we lacked humility in this game. We didn’t fight hard enough to win and honestly I don’t like the game we had. I think we didn’t defend well today. The duels, the individual situations, the placement… We don’t have the necessary concentration. It started with the chance conceded by Bafodé (Diakité). It’s a game we have to watch, because we made a lot of mistakes.”
