Two FC Barcelona supporters were filmed on April 10, during the Catalan club’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris SG (2-3), performing Nazi salutes and monkey expressions at the Parc des Princes. As the Paris police headquarters informed the next day, the two individuals had been arrested for “apology of war crimes and public insult of a racist nature”.
According to the newspaper L’Équipe, one of them will be tried at the Paris judicial court on June 26, after an appearance procedure on prior recognition of guilt was unsuccessful. The gestures of the two men were directed towards PSG supporters. Barça won this match before being eliminated in the quarter-final second leg the following week (1-4).
