-1 point in the standings after 30 days. This is the ordeal experienced by Vitesse Arnhem, a Dutch first division club. Already dead last in the Eredivisie, the Yellow and Black suffered a drop of eighteen points in the standings. The club will not appeal the decision and will play in the second division next year.
The club announced it this Friday afternoon on its website. “The club was unable to meet certain licensing requirements. Among other things, Vitesse did not present its half-yearly figures correctly, acted incorrectly towards the ING bank and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, and the Wladimiroff report did not prove the existence or not of links between Vitesse and Roman Abramovich,” he explained in a press release.
