Antony is in turmoil. Accused of domestic violence by his former partner Gabriela Cavallin and two other women in Brazil, the Manchester United player completely denies these accusations.

In an interview with Brazilian television, Antony defended himself. The Brazilian admitted to having had a tumultuous relationship with Gabriela Cavallin: “There were verbal offenses, on both sides, but I never practiced physical aggression,” he said. The Brazilian added that he also has evidence available.

During an argument, Gabriela Cavallin allegedly received a headbutt from Antony. The player gave his version of the facts: “It’s false. She got angry, broke a glass, threw a plate. She came towards me. At that point, I held her by the arms. I didn’t hit her, I asked her to calm down. At no time did I headbutt him.”

Antony also defended himself on the fact that he would have injured his ex-girlfriend on the finger with glass: “It’s a lie. Nothing like that happened. She had drunk a lot. We were at a barbecue. She continued to drink. I asked him to stop. She hurt her finger when I took the glass out of her hands.”

While Brazil largely won Friday evening against Bolivia (5-1) as part of the qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup, including two goals scored by Neymar which made him the top scorer in the In the history of the Seleção, Antony was suspended by the Brazilian federation. His club Manchester United announced at the start of the week in a press release that they were also taking “this matter very seriously”.
