At only 19 years old, he has already become indisputable in the Barcelona defense. Alejandro Baldé has extended his contract until 2028 with his long-time club.
Arriving at the club in 2011 at the age of eight, the left-hander experienced all the classes at Barça, before making his debut on September 14, 2021 for the first team. Launched into the deep end of the Champions League, Alejandro Balde comes into play against Bayern Munich at just 17 years old.
Since then, he has gradually established himself on the left lane of this defense, even relegating Jordi Alba to the bench. At the dawn of his 20th birthday (he will be on October 18), the offensive and versatile defender has already played 56 games with the great Barça.
Notable performances which allowed him to discover the selection. Alejandro Baldé already has six matches with Spain. Under contract until 2024, this pure product of La Masia has extended for four additional seasons with the Catalan club. His release clause is now one billion euros.
The signing of this new contract will take place this Thursday noon at the Barça training center, with an intervention by President Joan Laporta.
