It was expected, and now confirmed. By a brief official press release published Monday morning on its website, US Orléans informed “of the early termination of the employment contract of Mr. Bernard Casoni”. A decision which comes after the former coach of the National club was accused by several players of having made racist remarks. Suspended since October 10, Bernard Casoni is the target of an investigation for racial discrimination. The former Marseille player defended himself against these accusations, believing “to be anything but racist”.

In the process, US Orléans announced the arrival of a new coach on its bench. This is Karim Mokedeem, former Lyon Duchère player. In its press release, the club from central France wished him “Welcome under his new colors”, highlighting his experience in National. Aged 49, Mokeddem notably coached Bourg-en-Bresse between 2019 and 2021.
