After several weeks of struggle against the authorities of French football, CS Sedan officially filed for bankruptcy before the commercial court through the president’s lawyer Marc Dubois, this Thursday as revealed by Radio8Ardennes. The decision was reserved for Monday, August 28. This historic club could file for bankruptcy for the second time after the crisis that the club went through in 2013.

Sportingly maintained in National at the end of last season, the club was first demoted to National 2 before being demoted to Regional 1. Guy Cotret, the former president of Paris FC, Auxerre and Niort, , had bought CS Sedan Ardennes from Marc Dubois with the help of other investors and set up a takeover file. But the goal of staying in National was in vain. Despite a favorable conciliation notice issued by the CNOSF, the FFF refused to analyze the case of the Green and Red Boars. It is therefore within the sixth division that this historic club from the Ardennes will try to revive itself, almost ten years after its relegation from Ligue 2.
