Lieke Martens announced on Tuesday that she would retire internationally in June, after ten seasons in the orange jersey. At 31, the Dutch PSG striker revealed on X that the qualifying matches for Euro-2025 against Finland on May 31 and June 4 would be her last international matches.

The striker, who has 158 caps, won Euro 2017 at home with the Netherlands, where she was named best player of the tournament. Two years later, she was in the finalist team for the 2019 World Cup in France, beaten by the United States. At club level, she notably played at FC Barcelona (2017-2022) before signing a three-year contract with Paris SG in 2022.
