Chilean international goalkeeper from Lyon Christiane Endler put an end to her international career on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday after a final match won against the United States (2-1) in the semi-final of the Pan American Games, announced the Lyon club.

Aged 32, Endler has 104 caps, a record for the Chilean women’s national team, and will not play in the final of the tournament. She announced her decision on Chilean television.

She has played in all the major international competitions, the World Cup, the Olympic Games, the Copa America and the Pan American Games.

Christiane Endler has been playing in Europe since 2010 and her arrival at Everton. She then returned to Chile where she wore the colors of Colo-Colo (2011-2012, 2015-2016). Ella then played for Chelsea (2014-2015), Valence (2016-2017), Paris Saint-Germain (2017-2021) and Olympique Lyonnais since 2021.

She must return to Lyon in order to play the D1 clash against Paris FC on Sunday.
