The Ministry of the Interior has banned the movement of supporters for five matches of the 15th day of Ligue 1 and three matches of the 8th round of the Coupe de France scheduled until Sunday, while French football is experiencing an upsurge in violence.
According to the decree signed by Minister Gérald Darmanin and published in the Official Journal, these meetings thus present a “real and serious risk of clashes between supporters”, in the context of “exacerbation” of “increasingly serious” violence. .
In the 15th day of L1, the supporters concerned are those of RC Lens for the Montpellier/Lens match on Friday at 9:00 p.m., of FC Nantes for PSG/Nantes on Saturday at 9:00 p.m., of Stade de Reims for Nice/Reims on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., of Toulouse for Lyon/Toulouse on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. and those of OM for Lorient/Marseille on Sunday at 8:45 p.m.

In the 8th round of the Coupe de France, those of the Girondins de Bordeaux for Angoulême/Bordeaux on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., those of Nîmes Olympique for Saint-Étienne/Nîmes on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and those of AJ Auxerre for Troyes/Auxerre on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. .
The National Association of Supporters (ANS) contacted the Council of State to challenge the ministerial and prefectural decrees applicable to some of these meetings: those of the AJA, Lens, Reims and Bordeaux. The hearing will take place at 2:00 p.m.
“These contentious appeals are absolutely not intended to minimize the seriousness of last Saturday’s tragedy” in Nantes, adds the ANS, which has “chosen not to contest the orders relating to the other meetings.” These orders are very questionable.
