At sporting lows with a very sad last place in the championship, Olympique Lyonnais could well experience new troubles, but this time administrative. According to L’Equipe and at the request of “several French football leaders”, FIFA has decided to open “monitoring information” about the recruitment process of Ernest Nuamah.

Arriving at the end of the transfer window and announced with great fanfare by the club (supposedly on the PSG shelves), Nuamah was in reality recruited by Molenbeek, a club belonging to the Eagles Football galaxy of John Textor, the Lyon president. The Belgian club paid 25 million to snatch the Ghanaian winger from his training club, Nordsjaelland. He was immediately loaned to OL. A procedure which would have previously been approved by the DNCG, the body which manages the finances of French clubs.
