A judge of the Brazilian Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the reprieve requested by Robinho until all possible appeals have been exhausted, and the ex-footballer must immediately serve his 9-year prison sentence for rape.
“I reject the request for precautionary measures and the detention order is maintained (…) so that he can begin serving his sentence,” judge Luiz Fux said in his decision.
