AC Milan’s French central defender Pierre Kalulu, injured last Sunday in Naples, was operated on “successfully” on Thursday in Finland and should be unavailable for four months, the Italian club announced in a press release.
“AC Milan can confirm that Pierre Kalulu was operated on today (Thursday, editor’s note) to repair a complete rupture of his left femoral tendon,” writes the Milan club. “The operation, which was carried out in Finland by Professor Lasse Lempainen in the presence of the head of the AC Milan medical team, Stefano Mazzoni, was a great success,” the press release continued, specifying that the unavailability from Kalulu is estimated to take four months.
The 23-year-old international hopeful, trained at Olympique Lyonnais, had to leave his place after 19 minutes on the field of Napoli (2-2) in a match on the tenth day of the Italian championship.
