Recovery is just beginning for Neymar. Victim of a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligaments and the meniscus of the left knee on October 18, during Brazil’s defeat in Uruguay (0-2) counting for the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, the former PSG striker could go ten months without playing, reports Brazilian media Globo. The number 10 of the Seleção should have surgery this Thursday, in his native country, by Rodrigo Lasmar.
A member of the Brazilian team’s staff, Lasmar has already taken care of the 31-year-old player in the past, notably in 2018 after his right foot fracture. Before his serious knee injury, Neymar had only played five games for one goal and three assists with his new club Al-Hilal, who recruited him this summer for 90 million euros offered to PSG.
