A few days before the resumption of D1 Arkema, the Lyonnaises won the Trophée des champions this Sunday against the Parisiennes (2-0). For this third edition of the Trophée des champions, OL and Paris SG faced each other at the Aube stadium in Troyes. Lyon, French champion and winner of the Coupe de France last season, never trembled against Parisians incapable of being dangerous in front of the opposing goal.
The Haitian Melchie Dumornay, who arrived in Lyon this summer, was the best Lyonnaise in the match. It was she who opened the scoring with a header in the 35th minute, from a magnificent cross from Eugénie Le Sommer. The latter doubled the score in the 66th minute on a deflected shot from teammate Lindsey Horan. The third Lyon attacker was also very sharp. Former PSG player, Kadidiatou Diani, returned to PSG this Sunday evening in the colors of OL and was merciless for her former club. The Frenchwoman came off injured in the 77th minute.
Reorganized into a 3-5-2 system, the Parisiennes were harmless and struggled to exist in this meeting. Gérard Prêcheur’s players have their work cut out if they want to compete with OL this season.
