Very poor tire management could cost Charles Leclerc and Scuderia Ferrari dearly at the Dutch Grand Prix. As the start had just been given in Zandvoort, the rain began to fall on the circuit.

Some drivers, like Charles Leclerc, decided to go directly to the pits to put on tires suitable for a wet track, but when the red single-seater stopped in front of the garage, the teams of the Italian team were obviously not ready with the right tires.

Leclerc lost several seconds due to this new scramble by Frédéric Vasseur’s men. Leclerc was able to return to the track to position himself in 6th position. Certainly with regrets because Sergio Pérez, who stopped at the same time as him, had made the right choice to settle in the lead of the race.
