FC Barcelona’s French defender Jules Koundé, called up by Didier Deschamps for the French team’s matches against the Netherlands and Scotland, was injured on Sunday during Barça’s La Liga match in Granada. Visibly injured in the left knee, Koundé remained on the ground after involuntary contact with his teammate Gavi but tried to continue, before giving way to Ronald Araujo before half-time (44th).
The former Bordeaux defender could be forced to forfeit the next Blues rally, just like William Saliba, replaced on Sunday by former Barcelona player Jean-Clair Todibo.
