Briton Jessica Gadirova became European all-around champion on Friday in Antalya (Turkey), where Frenchwoman Morgane Osyssek took 13th place.

Third before the last rotation, Gadirova passed first at the end of the floor, apparatus of which she is the reigning world champion.

In the absence of the Russian gymnasts, still suspended due to the war in Ukraine, the Briton obtained the score of 55.032 points, just over a tenth ahead of the Hungarian Zsofia Kovacs (54.899 pts).

The Italian Alice D’Amato (54,500 pts) completes the podium.

Gadirova, already titled by teams on Wednesday, wears her fourth continental crown at only 18 years old.

The only Frenchwoman entered in the final, Morgane Osyssek, took 13th place with 50.933 points and gained ten places compared to qualifications.

Marine Boyer, on the other hand, was unable to defend her chances and withdrew a few minutes from the final due to a state of flu which worsened throughout the week.
