Norway, future opponent of the French, started the main round of the World Handball Championship with an easy victory against Angola (37-19) which brings it closer to the quarters, Wednesday in front of its audience in Trondheim.

The Norwegians and their star Nora Mork, who was able to stretch her legs and arm (three goals out of six attempts) after being spared in the preliminary round, join the Blues at the top of group II (6 pts).

They will qualify if they beat Slovenia (4 pts after their 31-27 success against South Korea) on Friday. Same situation in group IV (which will cross in quarters with that of France), in Frederikshavn (Denmark), dominated by Spain and the Netherlands (6 pts each).

The Spaniards took 45 minutes to take the measure of the Argentines (30-23), ahead at half-time (13-12) before coming up against goalkeeper Mercedes Castellanos Soanez (12/34).

The Dutch had already widened the gap at the break against Brazil (18-13, 35-27 final score), now eliminated. Only the Czech Republic (4 pts after beating Ukraine 30 to 23) can still take part in the qualification, which it will play on Friday against Spain.
