The French, already assured of their retention in the elite, finished the group stage with a record of one victory and six defeats, including two in overtime.
With seven points, Philippe Bozon’s men ranked 12th in these Worlds. Germany, for its part, validated its ticket to the quarter-finals thanks to this success.
