Olivier Giroud’s future in high-level football remains uncertain. The man who will celebrate his 38th birthday next September continues to impress at the highest level, with 12 goals and 9 assists this season after 29 matches played.

AC Milan, third in Serie A and on the verge of reaching the round of 16 of the Europa League (after its 3-0 success against Rennes in the first leg, Editor’s note), can hardly do without the French striker this season. He has only missed four small matches since the resumption at the end of 2023, including two due to a suspension, and has always – apart from two exceptions, including one in the Cup – started at the forefront of the Milan attack.

The future of Olivier Giroud at AC Milan, however, remains uncertain. His choice for the 2024-2025 season has not yet been made. La Gazzetta dello Sport notably assumed “a last contract in the United States or perhaps in France”. The striker trained at Grenoble Foot 38 could, however, stay, at least one more season with the Rouge et Noir, waiting for the club’s general director, Giorgio Furlani, at the club since November 2022 and satisfied with Giroud’s performances: “It’s “It’s perhaps a little early to talk about it, but if Giroud wants to stay, the door is open…” he admitted according to comments reported by this same sports daily.
