Real Madrid got their La Liga season off to a perfect start with a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao, including a goal from new star Jude Bellingham on Saturday’s La Liga opener.
For his first match in the league, the English prodigy, recruited for 103 million euros in Dortmund, opened his counter with a somewhat lucky half-volley which lobbed the Basque goalkeeper in the 36th minute. The Brazilian Rodrygo had opened the scoring a few minutes earlier with a powerful shot at the near post, after a well-felt cross from Carvajal.
