In an article published this Saturday in its newspaper, the Team discusses the continuation of the call for tenders launched by the League last September. According to the daily, DAZN’s November 15 offer, estimated at around 500 million euros, was rejected by the LFP, which requested 700 million for national rights (to which international rights will be added).
Still in discussion with the League, DAZN could recover 8 out of 9 matches (six exclusively and two in co-broadcast) for an amount higher than that proposed by the “Netflix of sport”. So BeIN Sports, already broadcaster of the League 2 would invite himself into the talks, and would be open to “taking a few matches”. L’Equipe reports that Nasser al-Khelaïfi, president of PSG and beIN Media Group, and Vincent Labrune, president of the LFP are in “permanent contact”. To be continued…
