It’s a dream start to the season in Brittany. Eric Roy’s men, who defeated very sad Lyon (1-0) thanks to a goal from Steve Mounié, became leaders in the general classification. The Brestois took advantage of Monaco’s setback against Nice (1-0) to take the leadership chair. The Aiglons move to second, while Paris Saint Germain completes the podium after their victory against Marseille in the Classico (4-0).

The Alsatians managed to win away to their neighbor Messin by the smallest of margins (1-0), which allows Patrick Vieira’s men to take fifth place. At the same time, Nantes and Lorient faced each other in a western derby which resulted in a spectacular 5-3 for the Canaries, who therefore entered the top (9th). Rennes, for their part, faced Montpellier on Sunday afternoon, in a game which ended in a sad goalless draw. The Bretons are slipping in the rankings and remain eighth.

After bringing home a good point from Seville in the Champions League, the Sangs et Or reassured themselves by winning their first success at home against Toulouse (2-1), which allows them to leave the red zone. Quite the opposite of Lyon, sad 17th after the defeat in Brest. Clermont remains last after the defeat against Le Havre (2-1), excellently promoted.
