The shock for Paris. With goals from Ramos, Mbappé, Dembélé, Vitinha and Kolo Muani, PSG dominated Monaco (5-2) this Friday, at the Parc des Princes, at the opening of the 13th day of Ligue 1. A success which allowed Luis’s players Enrique to consolidate their first place in the ranking and take six points ahead of ASM, third (30 against 24). They are also preparing in the best possible way for the arrival of Newcastle on Tuesday in C1. Minamino and Balogun scored for Monaco in this meeting which is likely to reconcile football fans and the L1: magnificent game.

Rhythm, intensity and chances on both sides in this electrifying start to the match. The two goalkeepers had the opportunity to shine, both Köhn against Ramos (6th), Mbappé (8th) and Hakimi (17th), as well as Donnarumma, on a header from Magassa (11th), alone at the point of penalty. The Italian goalkeeper also made a double save before bowing to Vanderson… but the referee pointed out, quite rightly, a slight but very real offside position by Balogun at the start of the action (14th). It was all the more surprising to see Köhn release a shot from Dembélé and offer the opener to Ramos on a plateau (1-0, 19th). Under pressure from Balogun, Donnarumma went astray and fired back at Minamino, who was quick to equalize (1-1, 22nd).

Incredible to see the two goalkeepers so feverish after starting so strong… Which goalkeepers quickly regained their senses, like this formidable parade by Köhn in front of Mbappé (32nd). That of Donnarumma against Minamino (45th) was also worth its weight in gold. Festival in this first high-level period. PSG, however, took precedence over their opponent as the minutes passed. Domination materialized by a penalty from Mbappé (2-1, 39th), following a foul by Magassa (poorly controlled clearance) on the excellent Dembélé in the area (2-1 MT).

After the show during the first 45 minutes, the Monegasques left with the same intentions, offensive, and Minamino alerted Donnarumma after a magnificent ball, another one, from Golovin (47th). However, the game was much less open in this second half, more choppy, less fluid. At least until the 69th minute, the moment chosen by the elusive Dembélé to score his first Parisian goal, tumbling to the right and hitting the opposite net (3-1, 71st). Vitinha came to knock out ASM with a tasty, sweet curling shot (4-1, 73rd). Invisible until then, Balogun took advantage of Skriniar’s slowness to appear alone against Donnarumma and reduce the gap (4-2, 76th). Hütter played his last cards with the entries of Ben Yedder, Diatta and Aliakouche and Monaco pushed, with this parade from Donnarumma in front of “WBY” (89th), in a disjointed end to the match. In vain. It was even Kolo Muani who added to the score (5-2 final score).
