The French champion is smiling again. After four matches without a victory, in all competitions, PSG won in Nice (1-2), in a match postponed from the 32nd day of Ligue 1. The capital club delivered a serious performance, facing opponents Aiglons who say goodbye to the Champions League after this narrow defeat.
Deprived of many players for this trip (Mbappé, Dembélé, Kolo Muani, Mendes, Hakimi), Luis Enrique was nevertheless able to count on a particularly efficient Barcola. The former Lyonnais launched this (very) revamped PSG perfectly in this meeting. By first opening the score with composure (0-1, 18th), then by offering a perfect service to young Zague, scorer on the evening of his 18th birthday (0-2, 23rd). Much more involved, three days after the setback suffered against Toulouse (1-3), the Parisians however lost their control as the break approached. The reduction of the gap signed by Cho woke up the Gym, immediately more pressing. Boga (36th) then Sanson (44th) even got two nice equalizing balls.
Seriously disrupted at the end of the first period, the Parisians rectified things in the second half. Never brilliant, but diligent and solid against the Aiglons who were unable to make their strong moments come true. Tenas, still starting in Donnarumma’s place, only really worked once, on a low strike from Laborde (72nd). The direct expulsion of Bard for a foul committed on Barcola definitively sealed the fate of the match (75th). Still invincible away from home in Ligue 1, PSG will close its championship on Sunday with a final trip to Metz. For its part, Nice will be in Lille. With the certainty of finishing the season in fifth place, synonymous with qualification for the Europa League.
