Régis Le Bris, coach of Lorient, after the draw against Nice (1-1) on Sunday for the 2nd day of Ligue 1: “Nice simply dominated us. They organized their attacks well, prepared their match and found space. We had difficulty pressing and recovering the ball high enough on the pitch. We suffered a bit in the first part of the match. (..) We cannot be satisfied today with a match like this where we have the feeling of suffering. The championship has started, and we have to move and be well aware of the level required to win matches in this competition which is very difficult. We snatched something, and that’s positive, but we need more to move forward. (…) We are aware of the challenge that awaits us. We lost almost all of our attacking players over a full season, who had a shared culture, who had acquired a level. We leave with players who do not have the same cultural level and the same level of play at the start. You have to build, you have to be patient. This is the lot of teams like ours, which must constantly rebuild.
